Being a Work at Home Single Mom – the Holly Mann Success Story

Making the decision to work from home can be very hard, especially for a single mother. With a child to support and a volatile working atmosphere, it is impossible to know just how successful you can be. Finding the right work at home opportunity is equally as challenging as there are so many that promise financial freedom but do not actually lead to success.

These are all things that Holly Mann struggled with after her son Josh was born. An Internet marketer for 2 years, Holly wanted more than anything else to have a bit of financial freedom, going so far as to move to Thailand with her son to reduce the cost of living. Holly Mann had always been one to work her way through life, finding whatever resources she could to be successful and now with her son Josh in tow, she was intent on finding the path to a successful work at home philosophy.

Using Existing Resources to Start Your Career

Working at home does not have to be a chore. Nor does it have to be a failed endeavor. There are plenty of resources available to increase productivity and the effectiveness of those at home marketing opportunities. Most of all, any single mom considering a work at home career must have the drive and the energy to be successful.

Holly Mann had worked as an affiliate marketer for a while and read many eBooks on how to be successful working at home. However, she dreamed of writing her own eBook, one that would show beginners a straightforward path to making money at home via the Internet. Moving to Thailand was her chance to take the time she needed to make this dream a reality.

The Balance between Work and Motherhood is Important

Finding the right niche to work at home is the most essential step in finding success. Children need their mother, but they also need her to succeed to provide the necessities of life. A work at home mom can be as successful as any mother who goes to a far off job every morning. It bridges the gap in between, allowing a mother to spend valuable time raising her child while still using her talents to make a decent wage at home.

Holly Mann’s goal was to do just that. When she reached Thailand, there were numerous obstacles in her way. After selling her only computer because she needed the money, she took a miserable plane ride with her son for 24 hours to Thailand from Wisconsin. Once in Thailand, they into an affordable apartment, then she was ready to start fulfilling her dream. With a $250 computer comprised of spare parts and a 14K modem operating over a shared phone line, she started writing her book, intent on being a full time mother first and a part time Internet marketer second.

The plan worked for Holly Mann. It worked because she knew exactly what she needed to do and approached the process intently with a single goal in mind. She did not want to abandon her son Josh to another woman or a daycare service to rear while she worked. She wanted to be a full time mother and so Holly Mann took the skills she learned as an Internet marketer and applied them to her own book, one that would make it possible for other single mothers to do the same.

Working from home as a single mother starts with a solid foundation and knowing exactly which goals are most important from the start. Holly Mann pursued those goals and was able to be very successful as a result. The same can be said for any mother who spends a good deal of time working in a home based business to ensure the well being of her children.
